Hello,

You may find some good resources to help you on our sister site, CruiseCritic.com:

MSC Cruise Reviews (http://www.cruisecritic.com/reviews/cruiseline.cfm?CruiseLineID=80)
MSC Message Board Forum (http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=80)

Hope that helps.

MSC cruises appear to be torn between reviews of 1* or 5*.....it's the love it or hate it line of today. On the one hand, it's one of the best lines for Italian pax; on the other it is now trying to sell to UK pax, and has placed a ship at Southampton- unfortunately, this ship came to a dead halt on its first cruise from there, but no problems since.
The ships are amongst the youngest at sea, and everyone remarks on how spotless they are. One problem stems from the fact that there's no buffet after tea time- many people don't like to eat solely in the main dining room; there are no free drinks including tea or water in the evening; not enough activities happen around the ships.
In an effort to introduce more UK travellers, the buffet hours are being extended; tea and coffee is to be available 24 hours, and a jug of "ship's" water will be produced at dinner. There will also be an "English" breakfast available.
My friends have recently been on the new look ship from Southampton, with free child place, and are quite satisfied with the new look MSC.
