I spend a lot of time traveling in the Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks, and have to say: if you're planning to come to "Flyover Country," you really need to spend some time in the Ozarks.

Yes, there are some more populated and urban areas like the Northwest Arkansas Corridor--Bentonville to Fayetteville--and Springfield, MO. But much of the area is small town rustic, with fairly inexpensive lodging, great antiquing, wonderful lakes and rivers for boating, fishing and swimming, and a world of interesting folks.

Take a trip to Eureka Springs, AR to visit an art town where the buildings are Victorian and historic, and the residents are quirky, talented and entertaining.

Or spend a week in a quiet lakeside resort at any of the beautiful clean lakes in the region.

It's a very different world here...slower, plainer, greener. If you want a good look at what there is to see and do, and where to stay and eat, visit www.theozarktraveler.com for a lot of unbiased info about the region.
