Hi! I’m new to Independent Traveler and wanted to share some info about the Big Apple Circus with you all. I messaged the admin through the “contract us” page but he/she never got back to me, I hope it’s ok that I’m posting this, let me know!

I’m working with the Big Apple Circus to get the word out about their newest show – Bello is Back! The Big Top just opened up last week at Lincoln Center in NYC, and will be there until January 18 when they hit the road to visit other east coast cities. Besides putting on a really awesome, fun-filled show… what’s really cool about the Big Apple Circus is that they’re a not-for-profit organization, committed to bringing joy and laughter to the communities around them.

If you wanna know more about the Big Apple Circus, check them out on Facebook (http://facebook.com/bigapplecircus) and Twitter (http://twitter.com/bigapple_circus).

I’d love to hear some of your favorite circus memories! When was the first time you went to the circus? The first time you took your kids? Favorite act?

If you’re thinking about going to see the Big Apple Circus this year let me know! :)

Hotels
There are many nice hotels in Tlaquepaque the most popular is Quinta Don Jose which has a swimming pool. Other nice ones are Casa Campus, La Rosa Morada, Casa de las Flores, La Media Luna, Casa del Retoño, Villa del Ensueno, Mi Viejo Refugio.

Casa Campos is a nice hotel at just 2 blocks from the center. People know this hotel as well for their Monkeys who walk free in their Patio.

Casa de las Flores is a little bit out of the center at 10 minutes walk. People like this hotel for their nice rooms, the meals and the very owners.

Casa Retoño is also close to the center (5 minutes walk) and has very good prices and a very big back yard.

Hotel La Media Luna has cheap prices but some of the rooms are very small. This hotel is very close to the center. Less then a minute walk.

Vila del Ensueno is a little bit further out the center, at about 15 minutes walk. Rooms are nice and it has a swimming pool.

Mi Viejo Refugio is a fairly new hotel that has very good rates and is at about 5 minutes walk from the center.

Quinta Don Jose is the most popular hotel and has a nice swimming pool with a beatifull garden. If you want to book a room here you have to ask for availability in advance as this hotel is often booked up.

La Rosa Morada is a very small hotel with as far as I remember just 3 beatiful rooms. It has a nice restaurant in the front and is at around 3 minutes walk from the center.
