    On Airport Shuttles: If the hotel charges a fee, that vehicle falls into a whole new class and most likely requires a state for-hire license and federal USDOT number and operating authority. Hotels are exempt from these rules when they provide the service as a courtesy at no charge.

    This link will show all those registered as having authority to carry passengers for compensation.
