In the fall of 1976, we traveled from Miami, FL to Frankfurt, Germany as follows:

Our house to Watson Island, Miami: A friend drove us in our own car.
Watson Island, Miami to Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas: Via Chalk Airways seaplane.
Paradise Island airport to our hotel: On foot.
Our hotel to Paradise Island docks: By cab.
Paradise Island docks to Nassau docks: By glass bottom boat.
Nassau docks to Nassau Int'l. Airport: By cab.
Nassau Int'l. Airport to Luxembourg Airport: By International Air Bahamas (an offshoot of Icelandic, and the less said about it, the better)
Luxembourg Airport to Frankfurt bus terminal: By bus, provided by Icelandic.
Frankfurt bus terminal to friend's house: In friend's car.
