Sheep Ranch in Australia?

Planning a trip to Australia for next April and would like to visit a sheep ranch. We visited a sheep ranch MANY years ago outside of Canberra (named Burbong) that is no longer open. (Shame - we saw the shearing process, had lunch and were able to spend a fun day at that ranch)

Does anyone know of a sheep ranch that accepts visitors - preferably near Sydney, Adelaide or Melbourne.

Google Sheep Station Holidays Australia and a great many different properties pop up. Remember to put in Station , not ranch! [that is what we call them in Australia, a farm is small and very rural a station is big and tends to be a bit 'outback'!]
Alternatively contact the tourist bureau in each State.

We don't have ranches, try farm or station - stick with the Canberra area and you will get lots of wine with your wool. Have a look at websites for the Yass district, the motto is "Wool, Wine and Waterways" and it's only about 50km from Canberra. Historic too, by Oz standards, dating back to the 1820's.

I forgot to say; where you get sheep you get blowflies the size of bumble bees - try late April to June for a more pleasant experience.
