What's the best travel snapshot you've ever taken? Post your favorite here!

There are three ways to share your photos on the message boards:

1. Use the "Insert image" button at the top of the response box (it's the yellow one with the mountains) and enter the URL where your photo is currently uploaded.

2. Use the "Attachments" button at the top of the response box (it's the paper clip) and upload a photo from your computer.

3. Copy and paste a link to the photo at your favorite online photo gallery (Flickr, Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc.).

My faves! The first was Paris for my honeymoon. Second is The Oaks Plantation in Louisiana. The third is Heidelberg Bridge. The fourth is the Space Needle. The fifth is the Black Forest in Germany. The sixth is Heidelberg Castle.

Here are a few from trips I took in 2009. Unfortunately, I only got a digital camera a few years ago, so a lot of my good travel photos aren't digital.

Color and Vibrancy! This is what I look for in all travel photos. It is what sets Get A Trip.com apart from other travel resources - literally the pics jump out at you. There is however definitely a place for the more personal pics we take on our family vacations, though rarely do they hold the commercial appeal of say these photos.

Except they could be anywhere in Spain, France or Greece.....I like photos which give the essence of the place. The photos above are generic for any Med brochure.

Just back from a couple of days break a little south of Adelaide to a town called Meningie. This is on Lake Albert and up until a very short while ago this Lake was drying out due to the extensive drought conditions we have been experiencing in Australia. Happy to say the drought has broken (well and truly in Queensland) and the Lakes are now full again with bird life returning.

In contrast to my previous photo, this one is just outside of Meningie and is called the "Pink Lake". All around this area, it is very low lying and covered in salt bush. Water gathers and gradually dries up. Due to the algae once they fill up, some turn a brilliant pink, even to a red colour then as they dry completely white salt is left behind.

These places are in Cambodia. It's actually in Angkor Wat.

Hopefully I'll be in other countries for the next summer vacations.

My best travel photo is always from my most recent trip! I just returned from the Antarctic Peninsula where the animals take center stage...well...ok..the ice does too! These animal shots of a Weddell seal and a Gentoo penguin were taken at Cuverville Island.

Great photos of Europe, metravellongtime! Just had Jack Daulton as a guest in our photography class and he brought pics of Ireland. It's beautiful there!...we ALL wanted to hop on a plane and take our camera gear and 'hostel' it for a couple weeks .
