    Default Blending in with the Locals

    When you travel, do you try to blend in with the locals and minimize the way you stand out as a tourist? What are your best tips for fitting in better with the local culture? Check out the tips from Traveler's Ed below and then share your own.

    My mother in law would have benefited from this article. She visited us recently in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and wore a fanny pack, spoke English to the locals (and wondered why they didn't understand her) took pictures of everyone she saw on the street, and was shocked to hear the US dollar is not accepted as currency. Needless to say, we were mortified.
