Difficult, this- I was torn several ways, so I had to think back to what we've actually done. Living in a rural area, we're apt to aim for towns with entertainment- museums, theatre etc.- even a cinema. We do love rural weekends, but it's good to do the town thing as well. In fact, next week we've a long drive to the south of England, and we're breaking it got a cheap hotel night in a big town....next to a cinema complex!

I would do most of these! Well, not shopping. That bores me to tears. But the beach, the hiking, the museums, the quaint town...yes please!
