One of each, please! What better way to integrate into a place's culture than through its culinary offerings? I had fabulous crepes in Cannes, but a Big Apple hot dog really can't be beat (my favorite cart: outside of Macy's on the 35th Street side; for $3 you can get two dogs and a soda - CHEAP and tasty!).

I'll try most things (stomach of an ox!), except from the grubbier stalls I've seen.....had good chicken kebabs with mint in Damascus once, and can still taste the charcoal burn, plus the yogurty- sauce, along with the sweet, sweet coffee.
I was a bit cautious of corn dogs at Disney- I thought it was some sort of pastry......

I could totally live on crepes but I've never seen them made at a street stand - maybe during a festival outdoors??? - because I usually go to the 6th in Paris for my crepes. I just can't remember seeing crepes on the street in several trips to Paris but if I saw one, sure I'd eat them. I do see them selling raw mussels ("moules") at sort of like a "raw bar" type thing on the Left Bank.

And yes, I've eaten street hot dogs and pretzels from street carts in NYC, but not anymore. I just don't eat hot dogs anymore and the pretzels just don't rate. In winter though, the roasting peanut carts always smell AMAZING!! Not sure but I think some have chestnuts too.

    So adventurous, right? LOL
