Default Poll of the Week: Standing vs. Sitting

The plane is parked at the gate after a flight, and you're waiting for the rows in front of you to clear. Do you prefer to stand or sit while you wait? Vote in our poll!

What's the point of struggling? if you're on business, then you might have no luggage, so you'll want to be off and through immigration and straight through customs, so yes, get up, get off and away.
For the rest of us, it's going to be a long wait at baggage collection.....until you hear the gears setting the turntable in motion, you've just to hang about with the early leavers and late leavers. No point in rushing....unless you're desperate for an earthly loo....

If I have the space, I'll stand -- after being crunched into a seat for so long, I like to stretch my legs.

Do all I can to get a seat as far forward as I can, take the aisle seat and once we land, gather up my stuff jump up and try to get out ASAP! I rarely use the overhead - can't reach and people tend to move your stuff and I don't like that so I put stuff under seat in front of me, etc. If I've been on a long flight, I'm going to do all I can to get off FAST. If it's a short flight, well......again it's the seating location really. If I have to stand and wait, I make sure NO one can pass me and just lean against the seat because I'm usually holding things and tired!!

Also, having the NYC in my blood sometimes makes me just sort of, well, pushy and impatient and I find a quick way off...I don't physically push ever! I just ummm, well kind of stare at anyone who is pushing themselves into my way but above all I recommend safe methods of de-planing. It's like they say on TV "don't try this yourself" well, that's how some of the NYC ways are - we're not mean, just kind of in a perpetual hurry to who knows what or something very important.

Every traveler has different needs and faculties so always do what works best for yourself and whomever is with you

All bets might be off if you're tight with making a connection but often the crew will make an announcement that those travelers must de-plane first. Always listen to the crew
