    There's more and more tree house annexes to hotels nowadays- they seem to fulfill some ancient need!
    We have a haunted castle nearby, and people actually pay to stay in the most haunted room......
    Some of the hotels in Santorini are built into the soft rock, with amazing terraces and pools cut out from the volcanic rocks....sadly, we only manage the cheapos on the other side of the island!

    I'll pass on the haunted hotel, but otherwise -- sign me up! The treehouse or castle would be particularly cool...

    Try looking at Muncaster Castle, Cumbria....the same family has lived there for about 800 years, and there's a variety of accommodation- just don't go to the haunted room....
