The US is the only industrialized country with a drinking age, and we area also the only one with a drinking problem. Coincidence? I think not.Almost everyone will drink alcohol at one point in their lives...if they start as children, its better that it be legal so they learn to drink responsibly instead of binge drinking so that nobody will find out from cans of beer they have stored around.
Official drinking age its 16 years old.
Officially the PURCHASING age is 16. However the consumption age is non existant.
Last time I was there, the question when ordering a drink was "Rum?" with the guy tipping the bottle almost in.
The legal drinking age refers to the earliest age that a person is legally allowed to buy alcohols, In Europe people may consume alcoholic beverages from a young age (generally 16 or 17), in some states in India the drinking age is 25.
