    Default Crotia

Wanting to travel to Croatia, see Dubrovnick Split, however I am confused
on most rasonabile way to fly into Croatia. Question: Is it easier to fly to
London airports or Amsterdam from US and catch a low cost European airlines or go, to Italy TRESTIE (not sure of spelling) and catch a bus or ferry? Travel Plans for April 07 so I know ferries dont run a regular schedule till the the high summer season. Any advice will be welcomed! even though you may have answered this question several times.

Travel in Croatia is a bit more difficult once you get away from the few major cities. Your best bet is to either fly into some major European airport and look for a small airline to get to Dubrovnik or Split or try a train connection. After that, you might consider renting a car if you plan to go anywhere away from major cities. We went to Plitvice National Park (fantastic) and drove. There is a bus but it's not very convenient.

We will travel to Croatia. A low cost flight to Munich and then either train or bus to Dalmatia--but I have just found some low cost flights from Croatia airlines to areas of Split and Dubrovnik from Munich--also saw reasonable ones from Amsterdam and London--a consideration.

No one mentioned that you can also get to Croatia by ferry from Italy! Not to hard to get to Italy and I believe many people do this (perhaps more europeans than visitors) travel to Croatia via ferry than by plane.

Here is a map and schedule:

Gives you a lot of other options! And a chance for some time in Italia! You will love Croatia too!

    Have fun!
