Exclamation Indian Visas for us Brits

My friend and I are travelling to India at the end of this week and had an absolute nightmare in getting the Visa last week!
It may have just been our bad luck and being a bit ditzy but this is what we found out about the visas!

Do not trust google, the site it takes you to when you ask about Visas is for an agent to do it, and the address it shows is not where you need to be!! As we found out on the first leg of our mission...
Also, Aldwich where the indian embassy is, is now only for emergency travel into India, as we found out on the second leg of our mission....
Where you actually need to be is in Victoria!!!!! Rue the day, as thats where we started!!!!
Wilton road 60-62 opposite the Sainsburys Market, in Victoria. The easiest way to get there is to come out of Victoria station by platform 1 and you should actually be on the right side!!! If you ask anyone from there it will be easy, and should take you about 5 minutes to walk, not the 20 it took us as we went the wrong way.

Also a little note on the actual visa process;
You need 2 passport photos, they have a machine in there it costs £4, remember to show your ears with hair tied back
It says it costs £30 but with their fees its actually £39
Also you cannot pick up your visa that day as you used to be able to
It takes max 5 working days, so please please remember to do well in advance, they do offer a postal service for about £7 so you dont have to trek up to london again, but like the twits we are, we didn't take that option!
And you will be there for a good few hours, we were there for about 2 hours, it could take less and could take more and it shuts at half 2, so get there early

I felt so strongly about the crapness of the day, that i thought i should warn every other traveller that has to do the same thing, i hope this helps!!
