I'm not particularly sorry to see Mika and Canaan go, but ugh, the Globetrotters totally lost me as a fan when they started trying to psych her out of doing the slide. They probably could have outrun her easily if it came down to a footrace, and she was clearly completely freaked out already, so it was both unnecessary and, well...jerk-ish, to avoid using a nastier word.
I didn't really love Canaan trying to physically force her toward the slide either -- talk about a counterproductive move, not to mention not the nicest thing to do to your girlfriend. I can understand his frustration, but still. In other news, BOY did it look hot. Everyone looked so sweaty and miserable during that hookah detour. For once I was glad to be home on my couch.

Let me say that Canna or whatever her name is is such a whiner. Why be afraid of a slide. I could understand a bungie jump or a zip line, but a slide.
Come on that looked like fun. Not sorry she is gone. And it was said that the married couple were there 2 hours. That is a long time. -Yesterday’s Winners: 60 Minutes (CBS), Football primetime overrun (Fox), The OT (Fox), American League Championship Series, Game 6 (Fox), Sunday Night Football (NBC), The Amazing Race (CBS), Desperate Housewives (ABC) -Yesterday’s Losers (excluding repeats): Football Night in America, parts one and two (NBC), Three Rivers (CBS), Cold Case (CBS) ---------- -Ratings Breakdown: Led by the sixth (and final) game of Major League Baseball, The American League Championship Series, Fox won this sports-ignited Sunday, beating second-place NBC by 3.92 million viewers and 20 percent among adults 18-49. BTW, Congratulations, Yankees! ![]() CBS had mixed results on this fifth Sunday of the current season, with its combination of granddaddy 60 Minutes (Viewers: #2, 12.23 million; A18-49: #3, 2.1/ 6), which the clock will never stop ticking on, young adult friendly The Amazing Race (Viewers: #3, 10.98 million; A18-49: #3, 3.2/ 8), recent flop entry Three Rivers (Viewers: #4, 7.90 million; A18-49: #4, 1.8/ 4) and relocated Cold Case (Viewers: #3, 8.81 million; A18-49: #3, 1.7/ 4), which has not benefited by moving to 10 p.m.. Compared to Cold Case in the 9 p.m. hour one year earlier (Viewers: 11.97 million; A18-49: 2.7/ 6 on Oct. 26, 2008), waiting-to-be axed Three Rivers dipped by a significant 4.07 million viewers and 33 percent among adults 18-49. Worth positively noting for The Amazing Race, however, was growth out of 60 Minutes of 52 percent in the demo.

So they didn't leave Dubai!!!! Didn't know there was another Atlantis there!! Really thought they were headed for the Bahamas!!!
My better half was a little upset at losing one of the eye-candy but she was a jerk! Come on - she had to have know that sooner or later in the race she would have to suck it up and just do it!!! Can't see that relationship going anywhere - she always be the one that lost the million! Yes the Globetrotters were being a bit jerkish with there taunting of her! Can't say I would have done it any other way- they had to know they were the last ones and facing elimination. I thought they were goners until Mika acted up! Yes the boys did look like Baywatch actors running down the beach. They may keep the poker gals in this race. So now are they headed for Europe?? Cathi |

![]() And the married couple were where for two hours? You mean Brian and Ericka? It didn't seem like they were at the slide all that long... Quote:
I read on another board somewhere that Mika and Canaan are still together, so maybe he has more patience with her than we do.

It must have been Mika & Caanan that were at the slide for 2 hours!! I don't think anyone else was there for any length of time. Even Meghan & Cheyene that won this leg are afraid of heights but they both didn't seem to hesitate before taking the plunge.
